Hello, So, I've been poking around for the last few weeks trying to put all the pieces together for a LAN gaming center (not my own) that I'm lending technical support and advice to. When it comes to servers, my experience is all office-based, ie: no gaming. What kind of hardware should I be looking at to host today's popular games? A64? Dual Xeon's? SCSI? RAID? How much RAM? I know you can host multiple games on one server, what's the best way to optimize this? Or would it be better to have several smaller servers, one for each game going? Any help will be apprecited.
